Jesse invests in buyout and growth-equity transactions in the industrial-technology and enterprise-software markets. He is currently on the boards of Axiometrix Solutions, Goodfellow, LI-COR, Noise & Vibration Technologies (NVT Group), Physical Property Testing (PPT), Process Sensing Technologies (PST), Robotiq, SPT Life Sciences and Titian. He has also been involved with Battery’s investments in Nova Metrix and Nova Instruments. Jesse’s previous investments include Drillinginfo (acquired by Genstar Capital), Healthvision (acquired by Lawson Software), HighJump Software (acquired by Accellos), Industrial Safety Technology (acquired by Tyco), Qognify (acquired by Hexagon (HXGBF)) and Rogue Wave Software (acquired by Audax Private Equity). Jesse’s portfolio companies often pursue aggressive, inorganic growth strategies, and he has worked on more than 40 add-on acquisitions. He has extensive experience working with businesses across the U.S. and Europe. Prior to Battery, Jesse spent a number of years with Ionian Management and was a founding member of Ionian Ventures, a specialized fund dedicated to transportation and logistics technology companies. At Ionian, he also worked on a range of private equity transactions, collaborating closely with portfolio management teams to design and implement growth strategies. Earlier in his career, Jesse worked at GE Capital. He received a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
