Ms. Gu joined BPEA in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gu was a Summer Intern at BPEA in 2010, and previously was an Associate with S.A.C. Private Capital Group, based in New York. Before that, she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at the Mergers & Acquisitions Group Elaine Gu is a Managing Director in the BPEA EQT team. Elaine worked for BPEA from 2011 until 2022, when the company joined forces with EQT and was renamed BPEA EQT. Prior to joining BPEA, Elaine was a Summer Intern at BPEA in 2010, and previously was an Associate with S.A.C. Private Capital Group, based in New York. Prior to that, Elaine worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Merrill Lynch in New York and Hong Kong. Elaine holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Colgate University.of Merrill Lynch in New York and Hong Kong. Ms. Gu holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Colgate University. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
