Prior to joining Balance Point, Mr. Dale was Chief Legal Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Nielsen Holdings plc (NYSE: NLSN), where he was a member of the company’s executive committee and oversaw the legal, M&A, compliance and integrity, security, government relations and corporate social responsibility functions. As a member of the executive committee, Mr. Dale reviewed and approved all acquisitions and joint ventures, and managed transaction execution. Prior to Nielsen, Mr. Dale was a partner at Robinson & Cole LLP and chaired that firm’s M&A and private equity practice group. Mr. Dale previously served as General Counsel and head of Corporate Development of e-Media, LLC, a technology company, and began his career as an associate at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP. Since 2008, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bankwell Financial Group (NASDAQ: BWFG), where he is the Vice Chairman of the Board, chairs the Compensation Committee, and is a member of the Governance, ALCO and Executive Committees. Mr. Dale enjoys traveling and theater with his wife and daughters and aspires to a single digit handicap.
