Bio

Mr. Palma has served as the Chief Operating Officer for B-29 Investments, LP (“B-29”) since January 2019 after previously serving in the role of Chief Financial Officer since joining the firm in September 2006. Mr. Palma’s primary responsibilities include asset management, transaction advisory, commercial banking and financial sponsor relationship sourcing, business development, and financial reporting. In addition, Mr. Palma assists with evaluating and executing new investment opportunities and ongoing portfolio company initiatives. In terms of portfolio company involvement, Mr. Palma currently serves on the board of Caliber Completion Services, a premier wireline company providing both pump down and daylight work solutions for the for the MidContinent and Permian regions. He previously served on the board and in the role of the Chief Financial Officer for Crest Pumping Technologies from its November 2011 inception until its merger into Nine Energy Service at the conclusion of the second quarter of 2014. Lastly, Mr. Palma previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Select Energy Services [now a subsidiary of Select Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: WTTR)] during its transformation from one business line into a platform of oilfield service offerings during its high-growth phase in 2007 and 2008. Currently, Mr. Palma serves on the board as audit committee chairman of ENGlobal Corporation (NASDAQ: ENG), a leading provider of automation and engineered project solutions to both the renewable and the traditional energy sectors. Prior to serving in these capacities, Mr. Palma spent two years attending the Harvard Business School, where he earned a Masters in Business Administration. Before attending graduate school, Mr. Palma spent three years in the Energy Investment Banking group at Raymond James and Associates in Dallas. His experience includes merger and acquisition advisory, public equity and debt offerings, and private placements for small and middle capitalization oil and gas firms. Mr. Palma holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in public accountancy from the University of Texas at Austin and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
