Dale is a Senior Finance and Compliance Officer of the Firm. Dale has 35 years of executive management, financial and accounting experience. Prior to joining Azimuth Capital Management in September 2014, Dale served as Chief Financial Officer of MEG Energy Corp. from 2004 until his retirement in July 2013. He was a key part of the MEG team that built the company from a private start-up to one of the largest Canadian public oil sands producers. From 2001 to 2004, Dale was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Enerflex Systems Ltd., a TSX-listed oilfield services company. Prior to that position, Dale held senior financial positions with Numac Energy Inc., a public oil and gas exploration and production corporation, from 1990 to 2001. Before entering the energy sector, he worked in the audit and assurance practice of Deloitte & Touche in Edmonton, where he earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1983. Dale graduated from the University of Alberta in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
