Graduated from the Luigi Bocconi University in Business Economics in 2003, he has more than 15 years of experience in the M&A / Private Equity sector. After the first 7 years spent at EY, where he was involved in Audit and Transaction Advisory Services, providing consultancy in the context of M&A transactions to Private Equity and Corporate operators, in 2011 he joined Camfin, where he held the last 5 years as General Manager and CFO. On behalf of Camfin he has personally managed various operations and all the extraordinary operations relating to the ownership of the Pirelli Group in the last 8 years, including, among others, the total takeover bid of Pirelli in 2015, the listing of Pirelli Consumer in 2017 and the spin-off of Pirelli Industrial. Since the beginning of 2018 Matteo has also held the position of Board Director of TP Industrial Holding. Since May 2019 Matteo has been working for Azimut Libera Impresa as Partner of the Private Equity team.
