Mr. Cocozza is responsible for overseeing risk management across the firm’s strategies and funds. Prior to joining Avenue as Chief Risk Officer in 2016, Mr. Cocozza was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for overseeing credit risk for hedge funds in the bank’s Prime Brokerage business in North America. Prior to that, Mr. Cocozza was a Vice President in the Prime Brokerage group at Bear Stearns. Mr. Cocozza received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Syracuse University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, with Honors (2005) and a J.D. from New York Law School (2010).
