Bio

Vernon Bryant is a Founder and Managing Partner of AV Capital, where he serves on the Board of Directors of Kovach Building Enclosures. Prior to founding AV Capital, Vernon spent almost 5 years at Austin Ventures, where he was a Partner and co-led the Middle Market investment practice. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of SAM, BenefitMall, and Sterling Foods, and he formerly served on the Board of Directors of Magnablend (acquired by Univar), ENTACT Environmental Services (acquired by the Pritzker Group), and Delta Rigging & Tools (acquired by Bishop Lifting). Previously, Vernon was a Partner with TGF Management Corp., a middle market investment firm based in Austin where he invested in a diverse group of companies across a broad range of industries for more than 10 years. While at TGF, he served on the Board of Directors of Southern Star Concrete (acquired by Compania de Cementos Argos SA CLB: MINEROS), M&M Manufacturing (acquired by MiTek), and Orion Marine Group (NYSE:ORN), and also worked with Associated Materials (acquired by Investcorp). Prior to TGF, Vernon was a Director at the Beacon Group, LLC, a private equity and investment banking firm based in New York. He was also an Associate with Sandefer Capital Partners, an energy-focused private equity firm based in Austin. Prior to attending business school, Vernon was a CPA with Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young, and served as Financial Controller of AG&M. Vernon received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a BBA in accounting from Texas Christian University.
