Ariel Smolyar is a Director at Atairos. Ariel joined Atairos in 2023 from EQT Group, where he managed investments across the energy, transportation & logistics and communications industries. At EQT, Ariel worked across all major investment functions, including origination, transaction execution and portfolio company development. He also served as an observer on the Boards of multiple portfolio companies. Prior to joining EQT, Ariel worked in the mergers and acquisitions group at Barclays, where he advised clients on a variety of strategic initiatives that were primarily focused in the energy sector. Ariel received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Middlebury College.
