Irene is an Operation Partner at Asterion Industrial Partners. Her professional career in energy and utilities extends over 20 years, combining industrial, financial, and investing experience. She recently served as Managing Director, at Macquarie’s Asset Management group in Europe, and previously as Senior Vice President at Thesis Energy and Managing Director, Head of EMEA, Electricity, Coal, Gas and Emissions at Morgan Stanley. She started her career working for Endesa and has been a Non-Executive Director with Italy’s Hydro Dolomiti Energia, Spain’s Exolum and Romania’s Cez Vanzare. Irene received both a Master’s degree and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Madrid’s Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
