Sunil has been with Ascent Capital since 2003. He has considerable experience of over 28 years having worked as a fund manager both in Indian public and private markets. At Ascent Capital, Sunil has been leading investments mainly in the technology, healthcare and BFSI sectors. Sunil’s earlier stint as a Principal Consultant at Infosys Technologies has given him a rich understanding of the IT and BPO industries and international experience in client interactions and business consulting. Prior to that, he had worked for nearly a decade with Unit Trust of India across investment management functions and has been instrumental in managing “The India I.T. fund” which was rated by Lippers as one of the most successful global offshore funds. His work in the equity, debt markets and credit rating helped shape his fund management style by balancing creative optimism with a rigorous and conservative approach. Sunil holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Chennai and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.
