Responsible for acquisitions, due diligence, and portfolio management. Matt has fourteen years of direct investment, investment banking and fixed income experience. Prior to Arable, Matt was with Cascadia Capital, a Pacific Northwest based investment bank, where he executed mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and direct investment transactions in the Food & Agribusiness, Energy and Real Estate sectors. Matt was a founding member of Cascadia Capital’s Food & Agribusiness team. Prior to Cascadia, Matt was an investment banker at Western Reserve Partners, where he executed merger & acquisitions and capital raising transactions in a variety of sectors, and with Wachovia Securities. Over his career he has executed more than $5 billion dollars of mergers, acquisitions, debt, securitization and equity capital raise transactions. Matt received an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he was a member of the Investment Banking Network and the J.Dwight Peterson Scholar. Matt holds a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Washington in Philosophy and Economics. He and his wife, Shyla, have two children and are based in Seattle, WA. Matt enjoys skiing, powerlifting, climbing, mountain biking, golf, tennis and just being outdoors.
