Spence founded Ancala in 2010 with the sole strategy of focusing on differentiated infrastructure investments in the mid-market and actively managing these investments to deliver superior returns to investors. Spence has over 27 years’ experience of investing in and managing infrastructure assets. Prior to founding Ancala Partners, Spence was a Senior Managing Director at Macquarie in Europe. Spence is involved in all aspects of Ancala’s business including originating and executing investments, asset management, investor relations, operations and on-going business requirements and development. Spence has an MA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Glasgow.
