Marguerite de Combret has over a decade of experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, specialising in debt capital markets. Marguerite joined Ancala in 2022 to lead on the capital markets strategy for the existing assets in the portfolio, as well as deployment of new funds. Prior to Ancala, Marguerite worked for over 10 years in the investment banking teams of Macquarie Capital and BNP Paribas, based in London and Hong Kong. At Macquarie, Marguerite was a key member of the M&A team, specialising in project and acquisition financings, as well as refinancings and restructurings, covering the UK and Europe. Key asset classes under her expertise include renewables (e.g. wind, solar, EfW), transportation (e.g. ports, airports, MSAs), utilities (regulated networks), and core +. At BNP Paribas, Marguerite was part of the debt advisory and balance sheet investment team, focusing on infrastructure, and, prior to that, on offshore and shipping finance. Marguerite holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School.
