Mark is a current operating partner at Amzak Capital and former CEO of Ford, joining the company in an advisory role in 2018. Mark formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company, until his retirement in May 2017. Mark serves as Director of Ellucian, Inc and American Tire Distributors, Inc., since February 2018. Mark was director of IBM from January 2016 until April 24, 2018, and served as Chair of the U.S.-China Business Council from June 2015 to May 2017. He was named to Fast Company’s 2016 Most Creative People in Business list for steering Ford in a more adventurous direction. Mark, who joined Ford in 1989, was critical to the company’s growth in global markets, North American turnaround and record profits in both 2015 and 2016. As CEO, he led the organization through periods of technological transformation, ultimately enriching the customer experience by using data-driven insights to advance the application of technology in its vehicles. He holds an economics degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business.
