Andrea has been with Amadeus Capital Partners since 1998. Andrea leads the Amadeus Digital Prosperity Fund and the Amadeus Secondary Funds investment activities and his current investment focus is on deep tech growth stage. Andrea serves on the boards of Travelstart, an online travel agency in Africa and the Middle East; genetics specialist Veritas Intercontinental offering whole genome sequencing; and fintech company Kontomatik, a European pioneer in open banking. Andrea’s successes at Amadeus most recently include, Igenomix, the in-vitro fertilization genetic testing company, acquired by EQT; and iyzico, one of the leading online payment providers in Turkey acquired by PayU, a global payment services provider and fully owned subsidiary of Naspers. Earlier acquisitions include Bellco, one of the pioneers in hemodialysis treatment solutions acquired by Medtronic in 2016; and Octo Telematics, acquired in 2014 by Renova Group, representing one of the most significant exits worldwide in the Internet of Things space. Andrea started his career as a financial auditor at a chain of resort hotels in Costa Rica, rising to become head of operations, finance and development. Andrea holds an MBA from Cambridge University and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. Italian by birth, Andrea is fluent in English, Italian, French and Spanish.
