Before joining Alvarium, he was a Founding Partner at Albacore SA, and prior to that he was a Chief Investment Officer at Starfin, a multi-family office and wealth-management firm in Lugano, which he joined in early 2000. From 1994 to 1999, Roberto worked in the Capital Market division at Banco Popolare di Milano Group and in the Asset Management division at Banco Desio. He obtained an undergraduate degree in banking and finance from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan in 1993. In 1996 he undertook a master’s degree in financial analysis at the Italian Association for Financial Analysts (AIAF) in Milan and he is now a Certified European Financial Analyst.
