Bio

Andy has worked as a senior professional in the finance industry for over 20 years, with a passion for solving complex problems, finding value in distressed situations and building great businesses. His career highlights include managing the performance and exit of a $10+ Billion portfolio of private equity and venture capital assets for the Lehman Brothers estate. Following his 5 year span of principal investment management at Lehman, Andy filled a career-long goal of taking an operating role at one of his portfolio companies as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a privately held network communications, information assurance and cybersecurity firm. Andy began his career with 11+ years in various roles as an investment banker at Alex Brown, DLJ and Credit Suisse where he completed numerous complex capital raising and advisory transactions. Andy has known Altpoint since its founding in 2009, and he officially joined the firm in 2013 to help grow the investment management business and expand the firm’s focus into new business building initiatives. Andy has been an active board member of 13 companies throughout his career, and currently acts as Chairman of the Board for ANARAQ. He is also a current board member of Vazata, Saber Resources and ByteGrid Holdings, LLC. When Andy is not helping to build great companies, he can be found on the baseball field coaching his three children. He has a passion for teaching not only the skills of the game to young kids, but for using sports to build character and grow great future leaders/entrepreneurs. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from the Darden School at University of Virginia.
