Bio

Josh is co-founder and managing partner of Alliance Consumer Growth (ACG), a leading consumer-focused growth equity investment firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles. Over the past decade, ACG has identified, invested in, and helped to guide and grow several notable emerging consumer brands as an early partner. Josh co-chairs ACG’s investment committee, and over the years has led ACG fund investments in Shake Shack, SKIMS, Harry’s, Momofuku Goods, BRADY Brand, Blaze Pizza, OUAI Haircare, Snooze A.M. Eatery and Good American, among others. He currently serves as a Board Member of several of ACG’s partner brands. Previously he served on the boards of OUAI Haircare (acquired by Procter & Gamble), Babyganics (acquired by SC Johnson), Suja Juice (acquired by The Coca-Cola Company), Kriser’s Natural Pet (acquired by TPG Capital) and Shake Shack (completed an IPO; NYSE: SHAK). In 2015 ACG was named as the top consumer-focused growth equity firm in America by GrowthCap. Also in 2015, Josh was included in Fortune Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, which recognizes the most influential young people in business. In 2013, 2014 and 2017 Josh was recognized by Forbes as one the 25 Most Influential “Kingmakers & Catalysts” in the consumer-retail industry. He was also included among GrowthCap’s top “40 Under 40” investors in growth equity in 2015, and in NRN’s “Power List-Reader Picks” of Top Restaurant Industry Leaders in 2019. Prior to co-founding ACG, Josh led a consumer and retail-focused private investment group, and earlier in his career he worked for Lehman Brothers. He holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, and a BA with honors from Wesleyan University. Josh is a member of the Wesleyan University Board of Trustees, and the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors, and he is a past Board Member of KIPP SoCal Public Schools.
