Steve is one of the co-founders of Align Capital Partners, a growth oriented private equity firm founded in 2016 based in Cleveland, Ohio, and Dallas, Texas. ACP is currently investing out of a $325 million inaugural fund. Prior to founding Align, Steve was a Partner at The Riverside Company. During his 16 years at Riverside, Steve participated in 33 acquisition and sale transactions totaling $2.9 billion of value. Steve joined Riverside in 2000 and was made a Partner in 2006. As a Partner, Steve led Riverside’s investments in nine platform companies representing approximately $1.0 billion of enterprise value. Prior to Riverside, Steve was a banker at a regional sell-side investment banking boutique firm in Denver, CO. Steve’s interest and expertise in small business was developed over years in commercial lending, owning a computer peripheral manufacturer, and serving as CEO of a medical device manufacturer. He holds a BS in Accounting from Colorado State University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
