Bio

John is an Operating Partner at Align Capital Partners and works with the investment team and portfolio company management on growth initiatives and operational priorities. Currently, John serves on the boards of Barrow-Agee Laboratories, ISA Fire and Security, Lewellyn Technology and Pleatco. John has worked in private equity since 2000 as an Operating Partner as well as leading portfolio companies. Prior to joining ACP, John was an Operating Partner at Z Capital Partners and H.I.G. Capital with a focus on industrial, business services and consumer product investments. John has managed a small cargo airline, Allied and North American Van Lines, a third-party logistics provider, a leader in electric fireplaces and supplier of nutritional and personal care products. John began his career in management consulting with Booz & Company and A.T. Kearney. During that time, John assisted in the merger of Michelin and Uniroyal Goodrich, the privatization of the Argentine railroad, the restructuring of a European supplier of food service equipment, and the product line and manufacturing strategy for Whirlpool Europe. John earned his MBA from Southern Methodist University and his BS in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a member of the rugby team.
