Melissa Klafter is a Partner and CFO at AE Industrial and is primarily responsible for management of all accounting and finance for the firm’s investment funds, management company and general partners. She also oversees the Firm’s Information Technology, Human Resources and Compliance teams. Before joining AE Industrial, Ms. Klafter was Managing Director & CFO at Sun Capital Partners where she worked from 2006 to 2021. Prior to Sun Capital, Ms. Klafter was a Vice President with both Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs from 1998 to 2006 and started her career as an accountant in the audit practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Richard A. Eisner & Company. Ms. Klafter has over 25 years’ experience in financial services, focusing on private equity and hedge funds. Throughout the course of her career, she has been an integral member of the leadership team responsible for communicating with investors, collaborating on fund and deal structuring, providing transactional support and has been a key participant in the fundraising process. Ms. Klafter received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University and is a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive).
