Norman Blum joined Advent in 2011 and acts as an advisor in order to help improve portfolio company performance. Prior to this, Norman spent the last six years in operating roles with two Permira portfolio companies, Rodenstock GmbH and Provimi Holding B.V. At Provimi, his roles ranged from being the Head of the PMO (program management office), Marketing & Technical Director for their operations in Poland & Ukraine, and most recently he has been Integration Manager globally for the business. At Rodenstock, Norman was responsible for strategy and the transformation program office. Prior to joining Permira's portfolio companies, Norman was at A.T. Kearney GmbH for six years, and before that he was at Bayer AG. Over his career, Norman has spent significant time working throughout Europe, Asia, and Mexico. Norman has a Diploma and Ph.D. in Business from Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management (WHU).
