Bio

Marco Mendes joined Advent in 2013. He has worked with more than 40 private equity portfolio companies during his career, 25 while at Advent. Previously, he spent seven years with Doughty Hanson, based in London, as an investment committee partner. Before his private equity career, Marco worked for 10 years in strategy consulting and executive positions in Telecoms, banking and Consumer goods, with responsibilities that included strategy, marketing, business development and sales. He has worked extensively across the United States, Europe and Latin America. Marco has a BS in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Marketing, both from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, as well as an MBA from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.
