Alex Bowman joined Advent in 2014 as part of the firm’s global Portfolio Support Group. Prior to Advent, he was a business planning director at Easynet Global Services, a private equity backed provider of managed data networks, where he was responsible for strategic planning and commercial finance. Prior to Easynet, Alex was Head of Strategy and Finance at gumtree.com, an eBay company, and an investment manager at Aurigo Management Partners, a private equity fund focused on UK retail and services. He started his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Co, where he spent five years advising corporate clients on operational and performance improvement projects in Europe, the U.S. and South Africa, as well as carrying out numerous commercial due diligence assignments for private equity clients. Alex holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland.
