Vandana's professional work experience spans over 17 years across the private equity, consulting and manufacturing domains. Her last assignment was at ICICI Venture where, since 2000, she has built a track record of successful investments across sectors and lifecycles. Earlier, Vandana has worked with KPMG and Tata Steel. As a Board member at portfolio companies, Vandana has been instrumental in guiding them through economic cycles by providing strategic and financial inputs and underscoring the importance of corporate governance while enhancing stakeholder value. Some of her key investments include Shoppers' Stop, Naukri.com, Trinethra Supermarket, Deccan Aviation, Centurion Bank of Punjab, Shriram City, Sainik Mining and Arch Pharmalabs. At Aditya Birla Private Equity, Vandana is responsible for investment management, optimizing performance of portfolio companies and fund raising, besides providing inputs in developing overall organization strategy. Vandana has a B.Tech Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Mumbai and a Masters degree in Business Administration (Finance) from University of Pune. She has also completed an Advanced Course in Private Equity from Harvard Business School.
