Bio

Jan-Paul is a Partner within the Active Capital Company team. He focuses on platform deals and adds-transactions, including sourcing these. On the other side, he focuses on active support of our portfolio companies. Previously Jan-Paul was a M&A lawyer at Houthoff for 23 years. Since 2014 he was the Head of Corporate and giving leadership to approximately 70 transaction lawyers and notaries of Houthoff. Jan-Paul has a large amount of (cross border) M&A transactions, on all sides of the table, with focus on private equity. Moreover, Jan-Paul has many-sided experience with corporate governance issues within companies. Since the foundation of Active Capital Company, Jan-Paul has already been involved in his previous role at Houthoff, in the realization of our deals. Jan-Paul studied law (private law and corporate law) at Erasmus University Rotterdam and in Cambridge. Later, he followed the course of "leading professional service firms" at the Harvard Business School.
