As Senior Partner Torbjorn has responsibility for the overall performance and strategy of the firm, its people and its funds. Torbjorn appoints and chairs the Executive Committee and the Investment Committee and he leads a team with decades of operational experience in building, operating and transforming companies into sustainability leaders on a global scale. Torbjorn joined Actis in 2002 as a founding partner and later the CEO of Globeleq, the sole platform company of Actis Energy Fund 1. In 2015, Torbjorn was elected as Senior Partner. Before joining Actis, Torbjorn was an entrepreneur and CEO, having previously held positions at ABB for over twelve years in power plant services, sales, development, finance and equity investments. Torbjorn holds an MSc degree in mechanical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
