Mr. Martin was most recently a CEO in Residence at Warburg Pincus LLC, a global venture capital and private equity firm with more than $35 billion under management. At Warburg, Mr. Martin focused on select technology portfolio companies and new investments. Prior to Warburg, Mr. Martin was CEO of two start up companies, Qlusters, a utility computing software company, and Entegrity Solutions, a security software company. Previously, Mr. Martin was the owner and CEO of CEO Associates where he provided strategic advisory services to the CEOs and Boards of technology companies. Prior to that, Mr. Martin was Executive Vice President for Information Systems and member of the Board of National Semiconductor Corporation (NSC). He was also CEO of National Advanced Systems - NAS (now Hitachi Data Systems - HDS) a wholly owned subsidiary which he built from formation to $1 billion in revenue. Mr. Martin’s first start-up was Advanced Memory Systems (now Intersil) which went public, acquired Intersil and then was acquired by GE. He began his career at IBM. Mr. Martin is a current or former member of the boards of directors of Microcomputer Systems, National Semiconductor, NAS (HDS), DataFile, Edge Software, Entegrity and Qlusters. He was also on the Board of the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA). Mr. Martin received a BSE degree from Princeton University.
