Bio

Rana El-Nahal is a Partner in the Corporate and M&As Group. She has been providing legal advice to corporate clients across diverse business sectors since 2008. Ms. El-Nahal regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, business and asset transfers, complex settlements, subscriptions, business contracts, licenses and regulatory approvals and general corporate matters. Her experience includes advising clients on several major transactions and joint ventures taking place during the past decade, including: the indirect acquisition by SEIC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) of an indirect minority stake in B.TECH for USD 150 million; the acquisition by Cleopatra Hospital Company of Bedaya; the acquisition by Sika Egypt of 82% of Modern Waterproofing Company through a mandatory tender offer for approximately EGP 500 million; the acquisition by Cairo for Real Estate and Investment (CIRA) of a majority stake in the British Columbia Canadian School; the partnership between the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (SFE) and CIRA to invest in education in Egypt; the private placement of a 33% stake in B.TECH to Development Partners International (DPI); and the agreement between Galala University and Arizona State University to offer students a dual degree program. Ms. El Nahal obtained a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Law from Georgetown University in 2014 and a Bachelor of Laws from Cairo University in 2008. Ms. El-Nahal’s working languages are English and Arabic.
