Alexis Cohen advises clients on complex intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, patent prosecution, counseling and due diligence for corporate transactions. Ms. Cohen has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including medical devices, life sciences, software, telecommunications, technology, materials science, biologics and pharmaceuticals. She has represented clients before US district courts, the Federal Circuit, state courts, arbitration tribunals, and Patent Office post-grant proceedings and ex parte reexaminations. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cohen served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ursula Ungaro of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She previously worked as a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City, where she focused on patent litigation. While achieving her undergraduate degree, Ms. Cohen worked at Drexel University’s Implant Research Center where she researched orthopedic implants for various joints.
