Nozipho has extensive experience advising both local and international clients on all matters relating to the commercial and regulatory aspects of the Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Media & Technology environment in South Africa. Her experience includes: advising on all aspects of telecommunications, broadcasting, and regulatory law, negotiating and drafting and reviewing commercial, media, music intellectual property licence agreements; advising on the competition and BEE issues relating to the provision of electronic communications and broadcasting services in South Africa; advising on the scope of telecommunications and broadcasting licence authorities, defending complaints against telecommunications and broadcasting licensees; advising on matters relating to print and broadcasting regulation; advising on copyright law issues; advising clients on advertising regulation in South Africa and representing clients before the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa; advising on issues relating to information law, including data protection, privacy law, and access to information law; and drafting and negotiating sponsorship and marketing agreements, including event, television programme and sport sponsorships.
