Bio

Johan is an expert in the insurance, re-insurance, medical schemes, pension fund law and regulatory industries. He has substantial experience in dealing with the Financial Services Board on a regular basis, on behalf of both long- and short-term insurers and industry intermediaries. He is also experienced in advising on problems and queries relating to the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS). He has acted for various South African and off-shore insurers. He spent time abroad, working in a number of law firms in the USA. He is a member of the board of trustees of a pension fund and is also an accomplished speaker on topics relating to long- and short-term insurance, FAIS and the implications thereof.
