Martin Davies is based in Walkers’ Cayman Islands office where he is a partner in the Global Investment Funds Group. He specialises in private equity fund formation and investment transactions, and general corporate work. Martin also has extensive experience advising in hedge funds, including hedge funds targeting cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Martin is a member of the Walkers FinTech Group, he regularly advises trading platforms in the fintech industry on the establishment of proprietary trading vehicles focused on digital assets in addition to acting on behalf of a large number of the major private equity houses and their onshore counsel; fund managers based in the United States, Europe and Asia.
