Michael Kurzer advises companies on the ownership, use and protection of intellectual property and technology-related assets in the context of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, investments and other strategic transactions. His clients include private equity, growth equity and venture capital investors, in addition to operating companies and strategic acquirers. His extensive experience covers a variety of technology-focused transactions, including due diligence, inbound and outbound licensing, services agreements, outsourcing, manufacturing and supply agreements, distribution and reseller relationships, development and collaboration arrangements and joint ventures. Michael also counsels clients on cybersecurity, data privacy compliance and data use and transfer matters, and on open source software matters and policies. His experience extends across a broad range of industries, including technology and software, consumer products, industrials, infrastructure and energy transition. Michael has been designated a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
