Bio

Robert Meyers is a global leader of the firm’s Capital Markets practice. His practice emphasizes the representation of Australian, New Zealand and U.S. companies and investment banks in connection with U.S. and international capital raisings and stock exchange listings, as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions and leveraged finance transactions. Bob’s capital markets practice primarily encompasses debt and equity capital markets offerings, including initial public offerings, private placements of equity securities pursuant to Rule 144A, Section 4(a)(2) and Regulation S, SEC registered and Rule 144A/Regulation S debt offerings, U.S./Euro MTN and USCP programs, and traditional 4(a)(2) debt private placements. Bob has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal and IFLR 1000 as a leading individual for both debt and equity capital markets. In Chambers Asia-Pacific, he has also been ranked as a Band 1 leading lawyer for U.S. law-based capital markets in the Australia chapter (2015-2021). In the same category, he has also been highlighted in Chambers Global (2021)’s Spotlight Table of recommended lawyers based in Australia and is noted to “represent Australian, New Zealand and U.S. corporates and investment banks on capital raisings, particularly in the USA, as well as on stock exchange listings and M&A.” Bob was included in the 2021, 2020, 2019, 2017 and 2015 edition of Best Lawyers in Australia in the practices of corporate Law, debt capital markets, equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He was also included in the 2017 edition of the publication in the structured finance practice.
