Dr. Roderic Pagel is the managing partner of Sidley’s office in Munich and co-head of the European Tax group. He advises clients on German and international tax matters, with a particular focus on the structuring of Private Equity and M&A deals and restructuring transactions as well as fund structuring. In the 2017 edition of Chambers Europe, clients describe him as “very knowledgeable and responsive to requests.” The 2018 edition named him as a leading tax lawyer in Germany. Roderic has also been recognized by Who’s Who Legal Germany 2021 for Investment Management, and he is listed among the “best lawyers” for tax law in Germany by Handelsblatt Best Lawyers 2021. Prior to joining Sidley in 2017, Roderic was a partner in another international law firm. He is fluent in German, English and French.
