Bio

Dr. Marcus Klie focuses on all aspects of German business and corporate law, in particular on cross-border and national mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, public tender offers and corporate restructurings. In addition, Marcus regularly advises on German stock corporation and capital markets law as well as corporate governance topics. As in the previous edition (2020), Marcus is currently ranked among the “best lawyers” for corporate law by Handelsblatt Best Lawyers 2021. Prior to joining Sidley in 2017, he was a partner in the M&A/corporate practice of another international law firm. Marcus is fluent in German and English.
