Bio

Mr. May represents developers as well as landlords and tenants in all types of real estate transactions including land acquisitions and sales, zoning and land use regulation, financing, development and leasing of office buildings, retail shopping centers, and mixed-use developments. Mr. May assists clients in the creation of succession planning strategies, including tax-efficient plans for transfers of ownership and control of the business either during the owner's lifetime or at death, for owners of privately-held businesses. Further, after the death of a client, Mr. May works with families, businesses, and related professionals to ensure respect for and implementation of the client's plan. With an advanced degree in tax law, Mr. May uses a proactive approach to estate planning situations, and his priorities include clear recommendations and efficient implementation. His tax planning experience includes advising clients with respect to state and federal taxation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies as well as advising clients on state and federal tax compliance issues. Mr. May focuses on solutions and offers sophisticated advice that enables clients to meet their estate, tax, and business planning goals.
