With 25 years’ of experience, Matthew Gorman advises clients on a broad range of corporate finance and company/commercial transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity issues by public and private companies. He also regularly advises on private equity and venture capital deals acting on both the buy side and sell side. Matthew has spent over 10 years in both Europe and Asia and has developed a sound understanding of the differing cultures and corporate business styles which are key to the successful outcome of international transactions across these regions. He has particular experience acting for clients in the energy and natural resources, media, technology, transportation and logistics sectors, who are doing business or looking to enter into the Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Cambodia markets. Matthew is consistently recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific as a Leading Individual in the Singapore Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets categories, as well as by Best Lawyers for Capital Markets in Singapore. He is praised by clients as being "very pragmatic and commercial, as well as a superb technical lawyer."
