Justus Binder is a leading lawyer in our German Private Equity team and a partner in our Global Corporate Group, based in the Munich office. He has more than 20 years of experience related to all types of private equity & venture capital transactions and a full range of national and cross-border M&A transactions. Justus represents German and international private equity funds, venture and growth capital funds, special situations and secondary funds and other financial institutions on their acquisitions (including LBOs, MBOs and MBIs) and other investments in Germany as well as on fund issues. He also advises management teams, private company owners and portfolio companies in relation to financings, management incentive programs, roll-over investments, trade sales, add-on acquisitions and other M&A transactions. He regularly represents German and international corporate clients on their M&A transactions, joint ventures and other corporate matters in Germany and abroad. He has been involved in hundreds of private equity and M&A transactions. Justus served as a member of the Firm's global Executive Committee from 2016 through 2021. Prior to joining Reed Smith, Justus was a founding partner of the Munich office of a renowned international law firm. He has been continuously recommended by leading national and international publications.
