Bio

Jose Roberto Oliva Junior is a member of the São Paulo office of Pinheiro Neto Advogados since 2011. His practice focuses on energy regulation. He graduated from Centro Universitário da Cidade, Rio de Janeiro (2003). He holds graduate degrees in Financial and Capital Markets Law (LL.M., 2007) and in Corporate Law (LL.M., 2010), both from the Insper Institute of Education and Research, São Paulo, and a master’s degree in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley (LL.M., 2014). He is consistently ranked among the country’s top energy lawyers by publications Chambers Latin America and Chambers Global, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000. He is also author of the book “Project Finance - Corporate and contractual structures with focus on power generation in Brazil”.
