Jose Luiz Homem De Mello is a Partner of Pinheiro Neto’s São Paulo office since 2005. He specializes in banking & corporate finance, including finance transactions, regulatory matters, debt and equity offerings, projects, and represents clients in merger and acquisition transactions. Jose Luiz practiced in New York in the Foreign Lawyers Program of Sullivan & Cromwell (2000-2001). He is listed as recommended lawyer in a number of specialized publications, including Chambers & Partners (Banking & Finance and Capital Markets), Who's Who Legal (Banking), Legal 500 (Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, and Corporate/M&A), IFLR 1000 (Banking & Finance - Leading Lawyer), and was selected by Latin Lawyer as one of "Brazil's young stars" in a survey at the end of 2007. José Luiz holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago (2000), an Executive MBA in Finance from Insper-SP (1997), an LL.B. from PUC-SP (1994) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from EAESP-FGV (1994).
