Daniel Barnett takes on his clients’ toughest problems with energy, effective advocacy, and practical problem solving skills. Mr. Barnett’s practice includes commercial, contract, and tort litigation. In construction and development-related matters he represents owners, developers, contractors, suppliers, and engineers in the resolution of payment, defect, delay, acceleration, disruption, mechanics liens, and other construction and development-related claims, including insurance coverage disputes. He works for clients in commercial, residential, industrial, and civil construction. Mr. Barnett also has substantial experience in environmental contamination litigation and in representing operators, joint venture partners, and royalty holders in the oil, gas, and mining industries in a variety of disputes. He has litigated and resolved contract disputes for individuals and entities from a broad cross section of industries including aviation, telecommunications, manufacturing, insurance, and technology. Mr. Barnett earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology cum laude at Miami University in 1985 before pursuing graduate studies in geology and geochemistry at Dartmouth College where he earned his Masters of Science and his Ph.D.
