Mr. Veilleux’s practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities and private equity / venture capital, notably complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions. He advises on corporate governance matters, as well. Mr. Veilleux has represented Canadian, U.S., Australian and other foreign public and private companies, boards and independent committees, underwriters and private equity funds in connection with mergers and acquisitions, takeover bids, going private transactions, public and private financings, private placements and corporate governance. Prior to returning to Canada in 2004, Mr. Veilleux practised for many years as a corporate associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York City and Melbourne, Australia. Mr. Veilleux has taught “Mergers and Acquisitions Law”, a course on public and private mergers and acquisitions, at McGill University’s Faculty of Law.
