Matt advises clients on buyouts, venture investments and project acquisitions and funding with an particular focus on cleantech and energy sectors. His experience covers advising all stakeholders in investor backed private businesses from early stage to IPO as well as domestic and cross-border M&A for both buyers and sellers. He also advises some of the most active investors in the UK on the acquisition and structuring of solar, wind, CHP, reserve power and waste generation assets as well as utility clients on acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures relating to energy projects. Matt joined Osborne Clarke in 1997 as a trainee. He has worked in both the London and Bristol offices and spent two periods on secondment to the legal department of 3i.
