Andrés Martin-Ehlers is a partner of Oppenhoff. In 1996, he began his career as a lawyer and worked several years in Brussels in particular. He studied law at the University of Passau. Upon completion of the Masters Program (LL.M.) at the University of London (King's College), he obtained his doctorate at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Andrés Martin-Ehlers is a visiting lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He is co-author of what is already the second edition of Lübbig / Martin-Ehlers, Beihilferecht der EU, and publishes on questions of antitrust law and state aid law on a regular basis. Andrés Martin-Ehlers specializes in antitrust and state aid law as well as in neighboring areas of German and European commercial law. He advises enterprises and public bodies on strategic questions and represents them in proceedings before the cartel authorities, the European Commission and the courts. He is particularly well-known for his activities in the areas of coal subsidy and infrastructure, especially in the aviation sector.
