Didier De Vliegher heads the Corporate & Finance practice at the Brussels office. He focuses on lease contracts, sale and lease back agreements and real estate work (acquisitions, financing, real estate funds, etc.) for Belgian and international clients as well as on asset and project finance, including PPP's. Didier regularly helps clients structure complex transactions and advises on the ensuing financing, regulatory and compliance issues. His clients include listed companies, insurance companies and banks. Didier's team won the Belgian Legal Award for Best Real Estate and Construction Law Firm in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2016. He is a former member of the Council of the Brussels Bar Association as well as of the International Bar Association. He currently serves on the Disciplinary Council of the Brussels Bar Association and is president of International Project Finance Association (IPFA) Council for Belgium. Didier graduated from the University of Leuven (KUL) in 1983. He subsequently earned a post-graduate degree in business law from the University of Brussels (ULB) and is amongst the few attorneys in Belgium to also hold an MBA (Solvay Business School, 1988). Pritchard's Legal 500 named Didier to the Hall of Fame for Real Estate & Construction in 2021, which highlights those who are at the pinnacle of the profession.
