Yile (Eli) Gao counsels on a broad range of equity and debt securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate matters. Eli represents issuers and underwriters in various US and Hong Kong public and private offerings, including Hong Kong initial public offerings with Rule 144A/Regulation S international placements on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK), US initial public offerings, shelf-registered equity and debt offerings, and equity and debt private offerings. He also regularly advises public companies on regulatory compliance issues. He is fluent in English and Mandarin. Eli is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong and is admitted to practice in New York. In addition, Eli has experience handling complex mergers and acquisitions transactions for multinational corporations. Prior to joining Luk and Partners, he was of counsel at a global law firm, and also worked in the Shanghai and New York offices of another international law firm.
