Wook Chung is a Partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Business Department. He serves as an outside general counsel to many corporate clients, from start-ups to multinational companies on a wide range of corporate management and business and real estate transaction issues. His practice primarily focuses on commercial and real estate transactions, contract negotiations, and general labor & employment law. He also counsels clients on business disputes and risk management of their local or international business operations on all aspects of commercial, operational, and regulatory issues including those involving international shipping, inland, and logistics services. In addition, Wook advises clients on class action disputes, antitrust matters, and products liability litigation. Wook also represents many corporate clients in various transaction matters including but not limited to debt collection cases. Notably, he has been appointed by Trustee of Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd. as a U.S. Trustee’s Representative (U.S. Bankruptcy Chapter 15 proceedings) to conduct multi-million dollar real estate liquidation cases and other collection claims nationwide on behalf of the Trustee and against various business entities in the United States. Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Wook served as General Counsel to Hanjin Shipping America, LLC, and for its affiliated companies for nearly 10 years, handling and advising on various legal issues involving the management and the operation of their respective businesses.
